As
one of the handful of safari camps allowed to operate
inside the national park, Lion Camps location right
at the heart of a prolific game viewing territory
is a major attribute.
Because of this it has been used as a base by both
wildlife documentary film crews and professional photographers
over the last few years.
We offer game drives and walking safaris. Whichever
you choose, our knowledgeable guides will entertain
and enlighten you with the secrets of the African
bush. Please note an armed escort accompanies every
walking safari.
Night drives, which are unavailable in much of Africa
are part of the safari experience at Lion Camp. They
give you the option of viewing nocturnal creatures
by spotlight, as well as animals operating under the
cover of darkness, such as an elusive leopard.
The South Luangwa National Park (SLNP) is not just
an animal refuge, but a living, breathing ecosystem
—carefully preserved and fiercely protected.
No hunting is allowed in the National Park, and we
follow strict guidelines for eco-tourism.
Lion Camp is dedicated to maintaining the parks beauty
— for our guests, and also for the sake of the
land and the local community itself.
